Meet Catherine
Many taxpayers are feeling uncomfortable about their tax planning or tax preparer in recent years. When fees are increasing and communication is decreasing, clients may feel like they are on an assembly line where no one is paying attention.
Tax firms are navigating tsunamis of complex new legislation from conflicting policy makers, while the workforce dwindles as experts retire and young people choose other professions.
And every year, the IRS requires more new forms and electronic disclosures, and deploys more AI to performs analyses of the data they collect.
What can you do?
You may just need a second opinion or some plain English explanations specific to your issues to provide reassurance that you’re on the right track.
You may need some fresh tax planning or business structuring ideas, or some help with organizing your business accounting so you can make planning decisions.
Maybe you need a new tax pro.
I’m an expert in tax and accounting, communication, training and learning, and small business. If you need to talk over the best course of action, I can help. Give me a call!
About Cat
I’m a licensed California CPA with a master’s in tax and decades of experience in accounting and tax matters. I specialize in entrepreneurs and the businesses they own, as well as investors, key employees, families, and retirees.
I have a modern approach to tax strategy, with an old-fashioned approach to communication, service, and business relationships.
I’m a Price Waterhouse alum (San Francisco, International Tax) and I’ve been a member of the faculty of several universities (Willamette, Golden Gate, Cal State San Bernardino, and the University of Georgia). I’ve also taught continuing education for CPAs. I’m known for being a good explainer!
I also enjoy amateur astronomy and have spent many long nights at the telescope, sharing the universe as a volunteer dark ranger with the National Park Service (ukulele in tow).
